Bio

Regina Hann is a Korean-born contemporary painter based in New Jersey.

Drawing inspiration from coral ecosystems, her work explores the interconnected cycles of growth, collapse, healing, and regeneration that shape both nature and human life. Through layered mixed-media surfaces, organic forms, and relief-like structures, she creates immersive visual environments that exist between abstraction and living organisms.

For Hann, coral functions as both an ecological symbol and a self-portrait. The resilience of coral communities mirrors the human capacity to endure, adapt, and rebuild after disruption. Her work reflects a deep belief that all life is interconnected and that the well-being of the natural world is inseparable from our own.

Combining painting, texture, and sculptural elements, Hann's practice investigates the fragile balance between coexistence and transformation, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship with the living systems that sustain us.
